Zhiyong Wang received his M.S. in Organic Chemistry from East China Normal University in 2005. In 2009 he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from Fudan University under the supervision of Prof. Jie Wu. He then worked in Professor Qing Lin's lab at the State University of New York at Buffalo as a Postdoctoral Fellow. In November 2010, he joined the faculty of Chongqing University where he is now an Associate Professor of Chemistry. His research interests include the development of (i) novel environmentally benign synthetic methods, and (ii) novel functional fluorescent sensors.
